I have windows 8.1, I am new to it, so is there a way that I could find out, on the
computer, is there something wrong with my Wi-Fi card.
What makes you think the card is causing a problem? I would need more detail. Is your router set up correctly?
Yes.
And you can't necessarily learn about your card, but Windows has a trouble shooter..
But, it depends on your problem.
Exactly, the trouble shooter doesn't even check for everything; it can't. If you aren't connected it will not work.
Well, it seems to kick my computer off-line all my Other Devices connected to the
Internet.
I think I know what's going on! Have you used google or google surveces around the time of this kicking off happened? I had the same thing.
I've had the same thing happen with my desktop. Here is a work around. Go in to your system tray and find the thing that says name of network, whatever your network is. Press enter on this, arrow down to troubleshoot problems and press enter again. You should hear the sound of your wireless card being disconnected, wait a few seconds. If windows has restored your eonnection, you should see something that says, close the troubleshooter. Also, what brand is your wirless card. I'm using a linxsi, or however you spell it, and I've had that issue ever since I bought the thing.
You shouldn't need to use that work around. This is why I was asking questions. I don't think the wireless card is the issue. As strange as it sounds I've started to suspect google survices. Something is going on.

But, an issue like this is difficult to give help without knowing the problem.
You can say, I can't connect.
Okay, well, were is the computer?
Could be the place it is located, because the signals blocked in that space in your house.
Could be not strong enough.
Could be the settings on the computer.
Could be you have to many devices then your router can handle, because tsome have a limit to how many can be run.
The better ones can handle lots, but we don't know what you've got.
Could be the wireless card is not compatible with your specific router.
Lots of things.
Why don't you call your internet provider and have them send out a tech.
That is probably the best advice we could give you.
What would google services have to do with a wireless card that is having problems?
I just want to take the time out to thank all of you guys, but the help, I fixed my
problem, I called my cable provider and they fixed the signal for me
Yep. Smile.
See there you go.
Glad you got results. As far as what I said about google survices, I've noticed some botnet activity but it's nothing to get all up and arms about. I was trying to make suggestions do to the op's lack of detail.
